Operator and scope

IBDesk is operated by Cédric Noel Stephane Tournier, a French sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI) trading as Avalonia, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 533 501 839, with a registered establishment at 50 rue Saint-André des Arts, 75006 Paris, France.

These terms apply when you browse the website, create an account, install the application or use a trial or paid feature. By using those features, you agree to the terms in force at that time.

What IBDesk provides

IBDesk is a read-only companion for observing market activity through a compatible Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation (TWS) or IB Gateway session. IBDesk does not place orders, manage brokerage accounts or provide investment, legal or tax advice.

You need your own Interactive Brokers account, a compatible TWS or IB Gateway installation, an internet connection and any market-data permissions or subscriptions required for the instruments you choose. IBDesk does not guarantee that a particular instrument, exchange or data feed will be available or real time.

Accounts and installations

Provide an email address you control and keep your sign-in links private. Sign-in links are single-use and expire after 10 minutes. Tell us promptly if you suspect that someone else has accessed your account.

An account can link up to three active desktop installations. You can rename or revoke linked installations from the account page. You are responsible for securing your computer and configuring TWS or IB Gateway safely.

Free trial

IBDesk may offer a seven-day evaluation period. It starts when an eligible account links the desktop application. The evaluation does not require a payment card and does not automatically turn into a paid subscription. A paid subscription requires a separate checkout.

One trial is available per account. We may limit or refuse trial access where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or repeated trial creation.

Paid subscriptions

The current price, currency and monthly billing frequency are shown before you confirm a subscription. Checkout and subscription management are handled by Stripe. By confirming, you authorize recurring monthly charges using the payment method accepted by Stripe until the subscription is cancelled.

You can manage or cancel a subscription from the account page through the available billing portal. The portal shows when cancellation takes effect; unless applicable law or the checkout says otherwise, access continues through the paid period already started. Any mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain unaffected.

The trial does not convert to a paid plan automatically. Access to paid features is activated after IBDesk verifies the payment-provider notification.

Software licence and ownership

Avalonia and its licensors retain ownership of IBDesk, its software, design, documentation and branding. While your trial or subscription is active, Avalonia grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the application for your own market-observation needs, subject to these terms and the access limits of your plan.

Do not copy, resell, sublicense, publish or reverse engineer the service, except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by mandatory law. You retain your rights in settings and other information you provide; you allow Avalonia to process them only to operate and support the features you use.

Market data and third-party services

Market data shown in IBDesk depends on third-party systems, your broker connection, exchange permissions, network conditions and source availability. It may be delayed, incomplete or temporarily unavailable. You remain responsible for verifying information before relying on it and for complying with the terms that apply to your brokerage and market-data services.

The public stock-loan monitor, when available, presents source-labelled observations for information only. Availability and indicative fees are not guarantees, investment recommendations, or proof of a completed borrow or trade.

IBDesk is independent software. It is not affiliated with, approved by or sponsored by Interactive Brokers LLC or its affiliates. Third-party products remain subject to their own terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use IBDesk unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person's rights.
• Attempt to access another account, disrupt the service, bypass limits or security controls, or upload malicious code.
• Scrape, redistribute or commercially resell IBDesk or market data where you do not have the required rights.
• Misrepresent your identity, share sign-in credentials, or use the service to interfere with another user's access.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the website and application available, but maintenance, security work, network faults, broker changes and other events can interrupt or change a feature. We may update or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary to operate, secure or improve IBDesk, while respecting any rights attached to a paid subscription.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Avalonia is not responsible for trading decisions, losses caused by reliance on delayed or inaccurate third-party data, or interruptions outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You are responsible for your brokerage account, market-data permissions, devices, internet access and any decisions you make using information displayed by IBDesk.

Ending access

You may stop using IBDesk at any time. Cancel a paid subscription through the account billing portal; cancellation of an account does not itself change a subscription unless the billing portal confirms it. You may request account closure by contacting us.

We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful use, non-payment or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and restore access when the issue is resolved.

Applicable law and contact

French law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply where you live. Disputes are handled by the courts that have jurisdiction under the applicable procedural rules.
