Get started

  1. Windows: extract the ZIP into a permanent folder, then open IBDesk.Collector.exe. macOS: open the PKG installer, follow its steps, then open IBDesk Collector from Applications.
  2. Open the collector. It reuses your linked IBDesk account; otherwise, choose Link account.
  3. In the Collector, set up your TWS or IB Gateway profile, select your market groups and choose a collection window. Enable automatic collection and click Save settings. ClickHouse storage must be configured by your administrator.
  4. Once the Collector is ready, click Start collection. Keep TWS or IB Gateway connected and the Collector open. Requests run only during your configured window.

Your data, your account

Profiles and groups come from your IBDesk account. Data is uploaded through the backend to your private ClickHouse storage. The collector uses historical requests and does not purchase subscriptions or request paid regulatory snapshots.

Historical ticks have second-level timestamps. Availability depends on your IB permissions and historical retention. Large collections can take several hours; the collector saves its progress so you can pause and resume.

Linux downloads will be added when their release packages are available. Download this application again to install a newer collector version.
